BEYONCE – more fun
Did you catch MOF resident choreographer Jono teaching Caitlin Moran from The Times how to do the “Single Ladies” dance in Saturday’s Weekend section? It inspired an invitation to appear on the Paul O’Grady Show today (where he taught the routine to Sir Cliff Richard and Paul O’Grady!) If you missed it, then here’s link to the Times piece…plus an unmissable video:

T-Mobile Ad

Karaoke comes to London
Minister Matt took a team of MOF performers to Trafalgar Square last night to participate in the singing jamboree that will be the new T-Mobile TV Advert.
An amazing event, with thousands turning up to sing along to a giant karaoke screen under Nelson’s Column. T-Mobile continue to capture people’s imagination with their flashmob-style performances, demonstrating that there’s nothing quite like lots of people getting together and becoming lost in the moment.

Remembering Pink Street (June 1998)

Sympathy for Ledbury
Whilst having every sympathy for the owners of the Prince of Wales Pub in Ledbury, which was painted pink overnight by vandals, let’s remember with joy the spectacle in 1998 of Ash Street in Salford turning pink in honour of Barbie. We were there! (whoever had the idea).
Frank the Banker
Well done to “Frank the Banker” for making it into the news today (see The Sun’s website). He claims to be a retired banker and was recently filmed giving £10 and £5 notes to bemused shoppers in Liverpool. No sign of product placement so it’s conceivable that he’s genuinely trying to give bankers a good name. Giving money away is still a pretty good premise for any PR stunt. Our experience of doing the same last year (moneysupermarket.com) not only produced great coverage, but was surprisingly cost effective – our performers only managed to give away half their money.
