MOF SKYDIVING HEROES

Ministers David and James went to Swindon today and jumped out of an aeroplane to raise money for Action Against Hunger, the international humanitarian organisation committed to ending child hunger. They raised over £2,000 between them and can also report that Swindon looks looks lovely from two and a half miles up.

GREAT SUFFOLK STREET PARADE

Our street was full of excitement today as shops and businesses came out in force to simply celebrate the fact that we all work on Great Suffolk Street, SE1. There was much to savour, including a performance from the sensational “Blackfriars Nightingales” ladies choir…free food…balloon modelling…Simon Hughes MP…and an appearance from MOF’s Managing Director on stilts.

Britain has a new festival – and this one’s got a greengrocer.

WELCOME MINISTER MABLE!

We are very pleased to welcome Minister Mable to the madness of the Ministry. Mable will be in charge of castings, organising staff parties and general office merriment.

Alright, Mable is actually Minister Tim’s new border terrier and will spend her week days here at the office.

Welcome to the first MOF office dog!

HAPPY 2010!

We hope that everyone has enjoyed a fabulous first week back at school…and that the jolly season was indeed very jolly. We can report that Christmas and New Year were a blast. Santa was on fantastic form and all Ministers did us proud. Well done to them - and a HUGE THANKS to all the fun-loving- mischief-making-attention-seeking-record-breaking people who booked The Ministry of Fun throughout 2009.

2010 is already looking fun – and we hope to be doing something amazing with you soon.

ELF SCHOOL

Following  our Santa School (see Wednesday 4th November, below) today was MOF Elf School, at which a group of our finest performers was taught how to entertain the people who’ll be coming to see Father Christmas this year. Classes comprised a mixture of juggling, magic, plate spinning and – as pictured below – extreme balloon modelling…

BEYONCE – LIVE AT THE 02

After a year full of Beyonce fun, and with big thanks to Pretty Green PR, the Ministry got tickets to see the lady doing her thing at the O2 last night. She was amazing  and – if you haven’t already seen it, either on YouTube or on a giant screen at the concerts - then take a look at Jono’s choreography of the 100 x MOF Single Ladies performing in Piccadilly Circus on 20th April (nearly two and a half million hits at time of typing this)…

WELCOME MINISTER DANIELLE!

Amidst the hilarity of Santa School, Rabbid shopping trolleys and more fun with Barclays, we are absolutely delighted to have found New Minister Danielle, who braves her first day at MOF today. She joins the production team, working alongside Matt, Chantalle and the gang. Hooray – and welcome to the Ministry!
