BEYONCE – more fun

Did you catch MOF resident choreographer Jono teaching Caitlin Moran from The Times how to do the “Single Ladies” dance in Saturday’s Weekend section? It inspired an invitation to appear on the Paul O’Grady Show today (where he taught the routine  to Sir Cliff Richard and Paul O’Grady!) If you missed it, then here’s link to the Times piece…plus an unmissable video:

ELF SCHOOL

Following  our Santa School (see Wednesday 4th November, below) today was MOF Elf School, at which a group of our finest performers was taught how to entertain the people who’ll be coming to see Father Christmas this year. Classes comprised a mixture of juggling, magic, plate spinning and – as pictured below – extreme balloon modelling…

WAYBULOO RADIO DAY

Today the MOF ISDN studio received a visit from Mattel and the lovely Fenella Lindsell, founder of Yogabugs and advisor on CBeebies TV show ”Waybuloo” (she teaches the animators how to make their characters do yoga!) Fenella completed a day of radio interviews discussing the benfits of yoga exercises for children, whilst at the same time letting the world know that Mattel’s range of “Waybuloo” toys are flying off the shelf…

BEYONCE – LIVE AT THE 02

After a year full of Beyonce fun, and with big thanks to Pretty Green PR, the Ministry got tickets to see the lady doing her thing at the O2 last night. She was amazing  and – if you haven’t already seen it, either on YouTube or on a giant screen at the concerts - then take a look at Jono’s choreography of the 100 x MOF Single Ladies performing in Piccadilly Circus on 20th April (nearly two and a half million hits at time of typing this)…

WELCOME MINISTER DANIELLE!

Amidst the hilarity of Santa School, Rabbid shopping trolleys and more fun with Barclays, we are absolutely delighted to have found New Minister Danielle, who braves her first day at MOF today. She joins the production team, working alongside Matt, Chantalle and the gang. Hooray – and welcome to the Ministry!

RABBIDS ON THE LOOSE

Over the last few days, the people of London and Birmingham must have thought they were seeing things as the world’s fastest shopping trolley, being pushed by a 6ft Rabbid, zoomed past them. This record breaking trolley has been built to mark the launch of “Rabbids Go Home” – the latest of the Rabbids’ adventures, which will take them all the way to the moon if they can build a pile of stuff big enough to get there. Our road legal machine comes complete with a 250cc engine and can travel at an astonishing 70mph – now that’s what you call a trolley dash!

SANTA SCHOOL 2009

The annual jamboree that is The Ministry of Fun Santa School took place in Covent Garden today. A classroom of the nation’s finest Santa performers assembled at The Concert Artistes’ Association on Bedford Street, and everyone had a rollocking good time learning how to be the perfect Father Christmas (but please don’t panic: the real one does exist). So the festive season has now officially begun – and we are delighted to report that Santa bookings are already 11% up on last year…Ho Ho Ho!
